how to get to the Kranji War Memorial

The following directions will get you to Kranji War Memorial from four area's of Singapore. But do check the GOTHERE website for complete directions from where you are traveling.

From Orchard MRT board the North-South line train towards Jurong East Station and alight at Newton Station. Walk to the bus stop "after Newton Circus" on Bukit Timah Road [bus stop 40041] and board bus 960, alight opposite Kranji War Memorial on Woodlands Road, 25 stops later.

From Jurong East MRT to Kranji War Memorial, board the train towards Marina Bay Station and alight at Kranji MRT, 5 stops later. Walk to the bus stop at the MRT on Woodlands Road and board bus 160, 170, 178, 925, 960 or 961 [bus stop 45139] and alight at Kranji War Memorial two stops later.

From Jurong East Bus Interchange (near MRT) board bus 160 and alight at Kranji War Memorial on Woodlands Road 29 stops later.

From Outram Park MRT..... board the train towards Punggol Station - North-East line - and alight at Little India MRT, Bukit Timah Road. Walk to the bus stop on Bukit Timah Road [ bus stop 400011] and alight at Kranji War Memorial on Woodlands Road, 29 stops later.

Basically - take the train to Kranji MRT and get the bus from there to the War Memorial which is just two stops later. The staff at the Kranji MRT are very helpful with directions if you are not sure where to go.

This is the bus stop you alight at coming FROM Kranji MRT

coming from the area of Jurong, you alight at this bus stop:

and you walk up this road towards the Cemetery
We took the cab from Bukit Batok and then caught the bus to return to Bukit Batok.

Doing it that way we were driven right to the car park on arrival

saved us the first part of the walk we really didn't know how long it was going to be.

But with hindsight, it would have been just as easy to get the bus there and back.

For the elderly or people that find the heat difficult to deal with, take a cab.

Do not forget
camera, sunscreen, water and an umbrella.
